In earlier posts, I showed you two purses that my friend in North Carolina made out of neck ties. She recently made this one for me out of ties that I sent her.

Christmas Dishes

I found this china at Marshalls in South Carolina this summer and fell in love with it. The colors are so warm and rich. I think I got the napkin rings at a yard sale. They are tarnished brass and pick up the golds and browns in the dishes.
I'm having friends over for dinner Friday night and I'm excited about using my new dishes! Of course, that depends on how many inches of snow we have.

My Friend's 50's Diner

My friend made this 1:12 scale diner in a Betty Boop suitcase. It is unbelieveably authentic looking. You can almost smell the hot dogs cooking on the grill.
Or popcorn popping in the popcorn machine.

Heidi and Arabelle |
Yesterday these two complained that Hanna is getting too much blog time. So I took them out in the snow for a photo session while Hanna was taking an afternoon nap on my bed.
After following them around for about 30 minutes, I think they were ready for the session to be over, especially Arabelle.

I know there's a deer out there! |
She's looking pretty grumpy in this picture.
Not Miss Heidi, she's still looking pretty!
Fortunately for me, the mailman delivered our "Corgi Secret Santa" package full of toys and peanut butter treats soon after we went inside. Everyone is happy again!

Hanna's Visit to the Assisted Living Center
Hanna recently visited a local assisted living center with her "Paws for Health" group. We have a personal friend who lives at the center and after we say hi to all the residents, we visit her in her apartment. Hanna stretches out on the floor and sleeps like she been chasing rabbits all day!
She's always a sweetheart and everyone loves her!

Santa and Friends Dessert Set

Several years ago Mikasa made a dessert set of four plates and mugs called "French Countryside". As you can see, Santa has an adorable red and white corgi chewing on a rawhide at his feet. These dishes are very hard to find and don't stay on Ebay very long. I have managed to get a set of four plates and four mugs over the years.

My Granddaughters!
I have written about my granddaughters several times and wanted to share this picture of them that was taken a few years ago. Being a grandmother has always been so much fun. I've loved watching them grow (they're 13 and 11 now) but there are days that I'd like to turn back time and have them little just for one day.
