Hop On Over to Bunnyville

Read about this handsome addition to Bunnyville.

I think you  will enjoy reading my friend, Shell's, latest post on her beautiful blog, The Raspberry RabbitsShell is a talented textile artist and loves rescuing bunnies.  I had the pleasure of seeing her beautiful home and having lunch with her a few years ago when I was vacationing in North Carolina.

HAPPY FALL!

I spent the first part of the weekend visiting my sister.  We had so much fun shopping at the local thrift stores, getting up early to go to several yard sales, and eating at our favorite old tavern.  I didn't find many "treasures" on this trip.

There's a coupon in some October magazines for a free 8 oz. of Valspar paint at Lowe's.  There are about two dozen "fall selection" colors to choose from.  I'm always working on small painting projects (shelves, chairs, etc.) and it's fun to have a wide selection of colors to choose from.   I have a coupon in Southern Living and in BHG.

One on my Facebook/corgi friends has a ticket to tour Tasha Tudor's home in Vermont next Saturday.  We've been writing back and forth this afternoon about it.  I think I am as excited as she is! She can't take a camera or cell phone and has to take her shoes off before she enters the house.  I am not at all surprised about these restrictions.

I hope you had a wonderful weekend also!

Corgi Puppies

Today I read an article about why corgi puppies are the cutest.  Since I don't really need to be convinced, I decided to share these pictures with you and get your opinion.

This is my Arabelle at 11 weeks.  It's been a little over a year since she went to live with her new family.  She has a wonderful life, they adore her and I'm so happy things worked out so well.  I still miss her everyday, however.  If I ever have another puppy, I will definitely get a tri-color fluffy corgi.

The following pictures I copied from the internet:

This one looks like my Hanna who is almost 11 years old.

My Shop is Ready For The Open House

I spent part of today putting the finishing touches on my shop for the weekend.  Hope you'll enjoy these pictures and share your comments.

Good Morning!

This past month has flown by.  I've been busy buying and making things for the fall open house this weekend at the shop where I rent my space.  I thought I'd share some of my favorites.

I found this pretty pink candy dish at a yard sale for $2.  All it needed was a thorough washing and I wiped the metal with a glider paste that I use.

I found two  Susan Paley vases that I collect last week.  That's very unusual.  One of them came from a Goodwill store and is the first one I've ever found at one of their stores.  Needless to say, they won't be going to the shop.

The top of this table reminds me of a wedding cake.  It was already white so all I had to do was give it a fresh coat of paint.

This table was painted with spray paint from Lowes.  I believe it is ValSpar brand. I love the shade of green.

I found this beautiful hand-crocheted doily at an estate sale.  It would be beautiful on a small round table with the points hanging over the sides.

This is one of the wreaths I made.  I hung it on the inside of my front door to take a picture and decided it may have to stay there for a while.

These pumpkins were made from an old sweater and real pumpkin stems.  The stems dry very well.

Tomorrow I'm going to take the day off and read.  I plan to start Jeanette Walls' new book.  I'll let you know what I think.  I love her other books (The Glass Castle, etc.).
