Perl and Her Cute New Friend, Zoe

Yesterday Perl had a play date with a cute Boston Terrier named Zoe. She was a perfect match for Perl in size and stamina.

It was hilarious watching the two of them chase each other.   Zoe loved making Perl roll over and down the hills.

Perl can be a bit bossy at times, so I'm sure she's telling Zoe the rules of the game in the above picture.

Perl and I thank Zoe's parents for a delicious lunch and such a fun afternoon!

It's All About PERL!

Perl arrived last Saturday and this has been the most amazing week!  I have had so much fun just holding her, taking naps with her and laughing at her cute little antics.  She's doing great with her potting training but we're having some issues with  sleeping in her crate at night.  Her vet says she has "separation anxiety" and I  am suffering from the same issue.  I can't wait to get up in the morning and take her out of her crate.  She and Miss Heidi have adjusted very well to each and Heidi even plays with her occasionally.  For the first few days, she  ignored her completely but she's coming around.

I had forgotten how much fun it is to have a puppy and it's been quite a while since I've had one with a tail!

We've had extremely cold weather and snow this week but next week is supposed to be more "springlike".  It will be so nice to get outside with the corgi girls.

Spring Cleaning My Dollhouse and A Recent Puppy Picture

Last weekend when everyone else was watching the Super Bowl, I decided to do some much-needed spring cleaning in my dollhouse. I removed all the furnishings and applied three coats of satin polyurethane to the wood floors and cedar shingles.

                             

The kitchen is now decorated for Easter and all the eye dying supplies are on the table.  Of course, it's helpful to have corgi supervision.

There's kitty mischief going on in the bathroom.  Do you see the one playing in the toilet?  I'm not sure if this corgi is an innocent bystander  or part of the mischief.

I had fun rearranging the nursery.  All the tiny dolls and toys are so cute.

And, I just had to share this recent picture of my beautiful, blue-eyed puppy, Perl.  I'll be picking her up on February 24.

Coming Soon To Our House...

Perl is the puppy closest to the camera.

Miss Heidi and I will welcome a new fur family member on February 24.  After a few weeks of searching and calling breeders, I finally found someone who has puppies.  I am getting a Cardigan Welsh corgi. She is a very light blue merle and the breeder thinks she's going to have those beautiful blue eyes that some merles have. I  have named her "Perl" which is the Welsh spelling of the name Pearl.

Heidi is a senior girl (she is six months younger than Hanna) and our house is too still and quiet.  I'll probably be writing in a couple months "what was wrong with a still and quiet house".  But for now, I am so excited!
