Little Girl's Room in My Dollhouse

When I wrote about my  dollhouse this week, a few people requested to see the inside.  I hope you'll enjoy seeing some of the rooms in the next few days.  Click on the picture to enlarge.

OWN

Has anyone else been watching Oprah's new network?  Yesterday I was a little under the weather so I decided to watch TV instead of putting my Christmas decorations away.  I was impressed.  There seems to be an abundance of commercials, but no more than the other channels.  I think it is going to be a welcome change from regular daytime TV.  It will be interesting to see  what new shows she will add.

Dollhouse Window Boxes

This is my first dollhouse which was built from a Real Good Toys kit about 25 years ago.  I've been working on window boxes for the windows and yesterday I finally put the finishing touches on them.  I've had fun working on projects this week.  I always breath a sigh of relief the week  after Christmas when life gets back to normal.

This past summer I updated the wallpaper and had it wired for electricity.  I plan to pass my two dollhouses on to my granddaughters someday.

This is a postcard sent to my friend's relative in Frametown, West Virginia.  If you click on the picture you can see that the date is up in the top left corner.  It is dated 6/23/13 and is in excellent condition.  It is amazing that this card is still around after almost 100 years.  Isn't the handwriting pretty?

Love This Sign!

My daughter found this sign at a recent bizarre and gave it to me for Christmas!  She knows  I love sitting on my front porch in the summertime and it is going to look great hanging over my wicker chaise.  Now that the holidays are over, I'm looking forward to spring flowers, warm days and visits on the porch.  I wish you all could join me for a glass of iced tea.  Wouldn't that be fun?
