Another Neck Tie Purse

I collect ties for my friend in NC who makes purses out of them.  I recently found the tie in the middle with the mother panda bear and her babies and mailed it to her.  I asked her to please send pictures when she used it in a purse.  That was a mistake!  I had to have it!  She did such a good job of coordinating the colors.  Consequently, the panda bear tie came back through the mail in the form of a new purse.  Now that I'm retired, I don't know where I will be going to use it, but I just love looking at it.  This lady has so much talent!

This is the back with a nice size pocket made from the small ends of the ties.

  1. That is a cute bag. I love how you now see all these handbags out of recycled material, makes them fun and interesting. I remember many years ago I came across a Japanese antropologist (a very interesting man), he had a bag made out of an Afghan tribal saddle blanket. So beautiful!
Is the house in the top picture your house? It looks very pretty with the covered porch, the tree and the flowers.

  2. Yes, it is my house. I live here with three corgi girls and two black cats. Thank you so much for the compliment. I love to spend time on my front porch!

Tie fabrics are so beautiful and it's wonderful to see them recyled into purses.

  3. That is so unique! I've heard of people making quilts of the neck ties, but purses, no - this one is lovely!

  4. This lady also does quilts. I forgot to mention in my post that the purse has a tissue holder, eye glass class and key fog to match it.
If you look back at one of my very first posts, you'll see the black and purple one that she made.
