Sunday in Savannah, Georgia

The weather was beautiful today and Savannah was great!
This is the Mercer Williams House which was built by the great grandfather of Johnny Mercer in 1868.  Johnny was  the colorful main character in the book Midnight in the Garden of Good and Evil.
I met Miss Lola and her family from Atlanta, GA, at the City Market  and got my much needed corgi fix.  I even made sure I got some corgi hair on the black capris I was wearing.  She is so pretty, reminds me of my Heidi!

Paula Dean's Famous Restaurant

The line was too long and we decided not to take the time to eat at Paula's.

Just one of many beautiful old homes in Savannah!
Another beautiful old building.

Savannah's City Hall

Summer flowers are still beautiful in Savannah.  What a perfect day!

  3. One of my favorite cities in the south, Savannah! We had lunch at Mrs. Wilkes Boarding House. Paula Deen wasn't around or maybe I didn't know about her when we were there. It has to be more than 20 years since we were there. Have to go back some time soon! Thanks for bringing back great memories, Sharon!

  4. We went to Mrs. Wilkes but the line was wrapped around the block so we didn't wait. I know it must be great food because it's been there so long.
