African Sunset

I received an email yesterday from my dear friends who live in South Africa, near the city of Johannesburg.  This picture of a gorgeous sunset was taken from their yard last week.

It's summer in South Africa now and their garden is in full bloom.   I enjoyed seeing their beautiful flowers and they give me hope that spring is not far away!

  2. What a beautiful sunset picture! I've never been to another country before. It's nice to see pictures from around the world especially when they are showing what it really looks like there. I'm sure you've seen the sad pictures of places that show dirt with no trees and no flowers or grass to depress us into giving money to their program.

It's pouring the rain here before the snow storm that is supposed to hit sometime today!

    Have a Great Day!

  3. We had rain and then snow, so the flower garden was refreshing, and that sunset is simply gorgeous!

  5. I am new to your blog and enjoyed my visit. Especially learning that you too are a miniaturist. Your rooms are beautiful. I have a shih tzu, it was a toss up between a corgi or Ragsy and we went with Ragsy with no regrets. I also notice we like the same books. I loved Laura Bushes book and I will look for Sarahs Key. You are very welcome to visit me at either my for the love of minis or our cozy abode. Please come and sit and have tea. Blessings, L J

  6. Hi Sharon, I found the vintage millinary shop and the hats are just beautiful, that is something I want to do also. The only garden I found was a patio setting not a shop. I tried the search thing, but it didnt work for me. We certainly like the same things, flea markets, here it is mostly yard sales and antique shops but they are expensive. I usually go to Salvation Army or Goodwill. I also machine embroider and I love to cook. Guess what? My real name is Sharon, Im not kidding, lol... You are way ahead of me on your mini's and they are absolutely beautiful. Yes, we are going to have fun!!!
