Vintage Handkerchiefs

I've accumulated a number of vintage handkerchiefs over the years and I had not found a good way to display them.  Yesterday I made this paper coronets and stuffed them in the top.  The beautiful edges of the handkerchiefs show up perfectly.  I got a little carried away and made three of them.
This one looks great hanging on my china cabinet door.
I'm beginning to see why I don't get any housework done.  I'm too busy with my fun projects.

  1. Very cute. Love the little kitty picture on the side.
I have some old handkerchiefs too, inherited. I've never done anything with them. Cute idea though!

  2. Lovely! I am always glad when I see people using the beautiful work of yesterday. The Farm folds them in a certain way and fills with dried flowers and that is nice too. She calls them "tussie mussies". Housework can wait.

  3. What a great way to show off your vintage handkerchiefs. Your cones are very pretty! I too, wonder how I ever get anything done with all my art time. But it is fun....much more so than vacuuming!
