This post is linked to Memory Lane Monday at Brynwood Needleworks. Thanks, Donna, for inviting me to participate!
One of my favorite Christmas memories is the year I made a miniature Sweet Shop for my granddaughter. I spent many hours putting the small shop kit together and painting and wallpapering it. The fun part was collecting all the tiny toys, candies, books, and stuffed animals for it.
The anticipation of her reaction to it on Christmas morning energized me. There was so much love put into building this shop and I hope she'll enjoy it for many years!
Do you have fond memories of a special gift that you gave or received?
That Sweet Shop is adorable. Lucky granddaughter!
ReplyDeleteI still remember the Christmas when my mother sewed doll clothes for us. I still have them! She sewed them all by hand because she didn't have a sewing machine.
Your sweet shop is wonderful. I am sure your granddaughter was very happy.

This is so sweet! It makes my imagination run wild. Also, wondering if you have to use a tweezers when setting up shop : )
ReplyDeleteYou are so talented and I just love this. Sharon, you are the one with the dollhouses, right? That's when I found your blog and decided to follow it. I think I told you about the dollhouse museum in Los Angeles that I liked to visit. It has since closed. Today, I put your blog in my in my sidebar because I keep missing your posts. Now I can keep up easier.
ReplyDeleteIt's very sweet, Sharon! I'm sure she just loved it!
ReplyDeleteI hope you'll like this post up to Memory Lane Monday next week! It's perfect.
Have a restful weekend, my friend.
xoxo
