The Stonewall Jackson Hotel

Just before Christmas, my friend and I bought an Internet coupon package for the beautiful Stonewall Jackson Hotel in Staunton,VA. Included were a $145-room for $70 and $30 in food certificates. We stayed there Wednesday night and loved it!

The hotel lobby.
Located in historic downtown Staunton in the heart of the picturesque Shenandoah Valley, the 124-room hotel captures the spirit, history and charm of the old South. Originally built in 1924  the hotel underwent a complete top to bottom renovation in 2005 and has been lovingly restored to its original grandeur.

On the way to  Staunton,  we stopped in several antique shops and thrift stores along the way.  We also stopped at a Hallmark store in Waynesboro owned by Joan of the Applejack Lane blog.  As usual, it was delightful to meet another blogging friend!
