A Beautiful Day!

Even though I had a hard time getting up this morning, I'm excited about this beautiful day and getting outside to work in my yard.  It's time to prune my crepe myrtle and get some leaves out of my flower beds.

The corgi girls will  get in the way help me.  Arabelle will  stand beside me with her frisbee in her mouth and sad eyes until I throw it.  Heidi gets excited when she sees Arabelle with the frisbee and starts pulling up grass or flowers around her.  Hanna will be walking around like a princess because she doesn't like to get dirty.  Once in a while she might assist in digging a hole if there's a mole or vole around.  It's not a Tasha Tudor kind of scene, for sure.  Her corgis always looked like garden statues.

Fresh air and sunshine always make you rest better.  I hope your day is beautiful too!

  1. This is the cutest photo ever...at first glance, I thought there was a little Fox laying there...adorable! Your babies sound wonderful! What personalities and what fun. I can't imagine my life without pets...they keep you going! I know my rascal Romeow keeps me on my toes ;-)

Thanks for your lovely photos and story of your outdoors yard adventure. Wishing you well and give your furbies a belly rub from me!

  3. Oh my gosh! Your pups are so sweet! I had a dog that looked to be part corgi -- at least I always thought she did. Her name was Toni and she was in our family from the time I was 2 until I was 17. She's been gone a very long time (nearly 30 years) and I still miss her (is that crazy, or what). Hope you are having a wonderful day. Tammy

  7. I love the way the legs go in that first picture and the way the face landed in the second one. So adorable. I knew a corgi once. A neighbor had one, he had a tail, a Pembroke? Or is it the other way around? I do remember that dog had the softest fur of any dog I have ever petted. And he was adorable too.

  8. It was a good day today indeed! The sun was shining and we hit 70 degrees today! I did a little shopping today. My 7 yr old son had a growth spurt. I had to buy everything from new socks and undies to new pants! I found some great sales! I haven't had this much fun in quite awhile. I needed today!

    Hugs,
    Angela
