This picture is my daughter's "Lacecap" hydrangea. It is so beautiful! My mother had those when I was growing up. Did you know that you can bend a branch of the hydrangea bush (still attached) to the ground, put a brick on it and in six or eight months it will root and you can transplant it? The pink bush in the picture above was rooted from my sister's bush.
This lichen is growing in my yard also. Isn't it pretty? It looks like a big flower.
Wow, these are stunning!
ReplyDeleteAwesome!!! I see mine are starting to form heads ... yay!

I love hydrangeas..my recent post features mine...nothing is a pretty to me in the garden! We have suffered more hail damage since I took the pictures. Yours are gorgeous. Love lacecaps too! They are easy to propagate..isn't that a nice bonus. I have started two plants from my lacecap! Enjoyed your post!

That lichen is fabulous! What a lovely variety of Hydrangeas you have. I just planted a climbing Hydrangea, I had never seen one before. I will take the tip about the brick on the branch, I love free plants.
ReplyDeleteSuper fantastic blog you have! Your hydrangeas look great! I have one that needs to be transplanted this fall. I hope it will be as pretty as yours are when it is in the right spot!
ReplyDeleteThat lichen is so fabulous and so are your hydrangeas. Your yard is so gorgeous and one of these days, when I get up that way again, I will see it in person. Hmmm...maybe August.
