Happy 4th of July!
I took this picture in southern Maryland last week! I loved the flag painted on the end of the barn and thought it was perfect for the 4th.
Miss Lily (my garden lady) is all decked out for the holiday.

I've been out of town and we had a 4 day power outage from Friday's storm, so I hope you are doing well and fared better than we did! At least our power is on--The heat is just brutal, isn't it?
How could I not leave a nice comment after visiting here. The book is about a recently widowed woman, around 70, named Emily and her family, spending a week at a cottage in upstate New York, before she sells it. It's OK. I really liked the next book about Emily, called Emily, Alone, which takes place seven or so years later and is just about everyday life of an older woman, who doesn't do much. It's a really good book, I think, but may not be to everyone's taste. They are all from the library and I have recently read some really good ones, but now I can't remember what they were called. Talk about old age!! Hope you are having a great 4th of July.
