Good Morning!

This past month has flown by.  I've been busy buying and making things for the fall open house this weekend at the shop where I rent my space.  I thought I'd share some of my favorites.

I found this pretty pink candy dish at a yard sale for $2.  All it needed was a thorough washing and I wiped the metal with a glider paste that I use.

I found two  Susan Paley vases that I collect last week.  That's very unusual.  One of them came from a Goodwill store and is the first one I've ever found at one of their stores.  Needless to say, they won't be going to the shop.

The top of this table reminds me of a wedding cake.  It was already white so all I had to do was give it a fresh coat of paint.

This table was painted with spray paint from Lowes.  I believe it is ValSpar brand. I love the shade of green.

I found this beautiful hand-crocheted doily at an estate sale.  It would be beautiful on a small round table with the points hanging over the sides.

This is one of the wreaths I made.  I hung it on the inside of my front door to take a picture and decided it may have to stay there for a while.

These pumpkins were made from an old sweater and real pumpkin stems.  The stems dry very well.

Tomorrow I'm going to take the day off and read.  I plan to start Jeanette Walls' new book.  I'll let you know what I think.  I love her other books (The Glass Castle, etc.).

  2. I sure recognize the vases as I believe they were produced by Ganz and I sold hundreds at my shop years ago. They are very fun and these 2 being Christmas and Valentines would be special!
