My Friend's Fruitcakes

I embroidered a kitchen towel this week for my friend who makes the most wonderful fruitcakes.  She probably makes 50 or 60 during holidays and sells them.

I came across this design this summer and just couldn't resist it.  I gave it to her today and she really loved it.

Wildenblue Farm Journal

My wonderful friend, Laura, has the most beautiful blog and this week she's sharing a recipe for Pumpkin Gingerbread that looks yummy.  Check out her blog. It's under my blog list at the bottom left corner.

I'm a little under the weather today.  A cold has come crashing down on me like a ton of bricks.   I had several fun things planned for the week, but I may have to postpone some of them.

Flea Market Find

Today was very pleasant at the flea market, a little cold but as long as you stayed in the sun, it was nice.

My mother always loved unusual dishes and as I get older, I do too!  Just when I should be downsizing, I find that I can't resist adding more to my already crowded china cabinet whenever I come across a bargain.

Today I bought this set of square bowls which I believe are for serving berries.  The smallest bowl is a perfect size for an individual serving of fruit.  For $6, I got the large bowl, the medium size and eight of the small serving dishes.

Christmas Purse

I finished this purse last night. I found the embroidery design online and love the purple  birdhouse.  The tiny ribbon has MERRY CHRISTMAS printed on it.   I love having time to do all my sewing and embroidering projects!

Have a wonderful weekend, friends!

My Friend's New Etsy Shop

My  friend  opened an Etsy shop recently and she has made the most beautiful collages.  Be sure and visit her shop when you have a minute.  Go to the Etsy home page and search by sellers.  Enter the words constance grace and you will find  her shop.

She's still setting up and adding new things everyday.

Flea Market Find

This past Saturday, my daughter found this shadowbox at the flea market for $5.  What a deal!
It even has electricity!  The  sconces on each side of the fireplace light up and the logs in the fireplace glow. This is what the inside looked like empty.  The color is off, it is more of a burgundy color.

I worked on  it that afternoon and this is what it looks like now.  I used miniature items I already had.  It was so much fun to decorate!

I replaced the corgi with a cat and gave it to my daughter that night.  She loved it!
