I enjoyed True Grit but it wasn't one of my favorites. I saw previews of Water for Elephants that opens in April and it looks like it's going to be a great movie. Has anyone read the book? I am so happy that The King's Speech got best picture on the awards last night!

The book, Water for Elephants, was excellent. I really did enjoy it and am hoping the movie is just as good.
ReplyDeleteI think sometimes they make a big deal over the new movies just to get us to go. We don't even go to the movies. We did go last year to see Toy Story 3 with the kids but we usually just wait until they come out and I buy them. By that time we know what is good or not from hearing things from other people!

I had a feeling that the new version of True Grit would not be to everyone's taste. Nobody can be better than the Duke!

I have not seen any previews for Water for Elephants, hoping they do it well. Seldom are the movies as good as the book, but we can hope because sometimes.....they are better or equal!

True Grit was sort of flat, Sharon. I thought the little girl did such a good job, but it wasn't such a wonderful movie! Very glad that The King's Speech won! It was the highlight of an otherwise dull ceremony!
