This week I've been working on a few gift projects and finished two with buttons. You already know how much I love buttons and finding new ways to use them is always exciting!
The pin measures 1" 1/2 X 2" and is covered with a combination of old and new buttons. There are a few Bakelite buttons included. I bought the base at an estate sale. It is an oval frame that was probably made to house needlework.
I covered a 5" X 6" frame with an assortment of beautiful gold buttons. I love the way it turned out and don't think it really needs a picture.
OMGolly ! This is awesome. I could do this. Do you know how valuable those Bakelite buttons are? Love your creation & no pics for sure ... but you could tuck a demitasse saucer or something small in the middle on a wall. Really impressed.

Cute ideas, the frame definitely doesn't need a picture, very nice by itself!

Any chance you would share how you made the frame? or Make something for someone else who has a lot of buttons, but no talent?
ReplyDeleteBeautiful Sharon!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful button projects and bravo to you for being brave enough to use the good ones. I have a really hard time doing that!
ReplyDeleteI "inherited" tons of buttons from Grandma. I think I will make the frame and put a pic of her in it for each of the great grandkids!
