A Day of Corgi Maintenance

Today was a busy day at my house.  I had to take Hanna to the vet at 7:30 for a dental cleaning.  Later I decided it was time to give Heidi a good brushing.  Can you believe all that hair?  I always leave it in the backyard hoping the birds will gather some of it for their nests.  I'd be very excited if I ever found a used nest with corgi hair in it.  Miss Heidi's expression makes me think she'd rather be playing with the Frisbee.

A Facebook friend gave me permission to share this picture of her pretty little Ellie and her new puppies.  She has five girls and one boy.  What a mega dose of cuteness!

Hope you have a great weekend!

  3. Heidi is such a good girl, sitting like that for you, she's a regular model. Lots of hair there, I hope the birds use it too!

I saw those puppies and I just went "Awwwwww" They are so little!

  4. I have furminated my Corgi twice so far this Spring and got about half of a 5 gallon bucket full - each time. I also let some fly for the birds and last year I found a small nest at the end of the season lined with Corgi hair! I love it and keep it in my curio cabinet (so the cat won't get it).

  5. I'm picking fur off Soldier, he is looking very strange the way he's shedding this year. Then soon, we need to get going on all of them. They are truly a mess since we've been sick for so long here.

  6. Oh my gosh, what a sweet post!! Your fur(less) baby does look a tad put out at being brushed! I've seen that face on my fur babies many times! And the mommy and her pups are just too precious! Thanks for sharing!

  7. Oh, yes, watch for nests. I still have one lined with my collie's fur from 30+ yrs. ago! And the corgi pups are adorable. My girl corgi stole my heart when she was just 20 hours old. Thanks for the Miss Lily info. My husband said he would make one for my garden. Do you think she might help keep the deer away?
