A few years ago, my daughter bought a lovely antique Hoosier cabinet for her kitchen. The cabinet had a hole (a little larger than a quarter) in one of the doors right where it meets the metal work space. I decided we needed to add some interest to this hole and my feeble attempt to create a mouse looked like this. After we shoved him in the hole, all that was showing was his cute little face.
"Hoosier", the mouse, experienced a grueling attack by this lobster handsome cat and he was missing for several months. During the holidays he was found under the refrigerator with other cat toys. I've reattached his ear and he's ready to go back in the hole in the cabinet. It'll be interesting to see how long he stays there.

You must remember Sharon that kitty is innocent until proven guilty! lol That is a cute little mouse! I've seen another blog that I think she quit blogging but she had a little mouse family she made and painted a hole in her baseboard. Seems like I recall that she had some miniature furniture sitting outside that hole too. It was too cute! Your mouse reminds me of that.
ReplyDeleteThat is an adorable little mouse. I bet the cat will have a good time with it again.
ReplyDeleteI could have told you to look under the refrigerator if I had known. We often find missing objects under there. Our cats stay quite busy.
ReplyDeleteYou made an adorable mouse!
Speechless! LOL! xxoo Nancy!
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing -- enjoyed the story of Hoosier and the Lobster!
ReplyDeleteI'm looking forward to seeing just how long Hoosier stays in the cabinet! He's so cute! Happy Tuesday, my friend.

Sharon I am still laughing! That is too adorable and I love the lobster costume on that handsome guy! Do let us know how long "mister mouse" remains unscathed in the cabinet!

How funny. The mouse is cute as well as the cat. My cat does the same thing. I am always looking for things she has taken and finding them in the most usual places. Blessings,Kathleen
