The first thing I want to share with you is an oil painting that I found when visiting my sister this past weekend. It is dated 1988 and is done by a Virginia artist. If you have been reading my blog for a while, you will know I love yard sales! The name of the painting is "Miss Lucy's Yard Sale". I had just the right frame for it and it's hanging in my sewing room. It makes me smile whenever I look at it.
My space at the antique mall now has a Facebook page and I update it whenever I add new items. If you are on Facebook, the page is called Feedsacks and Flowers at Through the Garden Gate and I hope you'll visit.
I recently added several new pillows that I made.
Perl is grown up now and acting like a teenager. She no longer lets me hold or cuddle with her. She is much too busy for such nonsense.
Love this silly little girl with big ears! |
I hope you are enjoying your summer as much as I am! In a few weeks I will have a five year anniversary for my blog. I'll definitely plan a fun giveaway for that!
Oh I am so in love with that painting! I will also try to remember to look you up on Facebook!

Sharon! I think the painting is just ideal. I bet you got it for a song! The pillows are lovely, especially like the one with the blue check. Oh, why do those puppies have to grow up and turn into teenagers?!
ReplyDeleteHi, it has been so long since I have visited here. I must keep up! I love the way you used the embroidery for pillows.
